Havening is a relatively new technique developed by Dr Ronald Ruden.
He is an American medical doctor specialising in neuroscience and trauma. This psycho-sensory technique (Havening) is used to help people free themselves from negative experiences to previous trauma. The name ‘Havening’ is derived from the word ‘haven’ and means to put in a safe place.
By definition, trauma is a deeply distressing or disturbing experience (physical injury aside). If our experience to any life event is extreme to us it can take away our: happiness, safety, memory, ambition, hope, curiosity, calm…..
What is Havening?
Havening Techniques are psycho sensory healing techniques designed to help individuals overcome their encoded/stored difficult life experiences.
There is no guarantee that Havening will resolve your issue fully however the aim is to get the best possible outcome for yourself over 1 or 2 sessions. The Havening Techniques have successfully shown help with: phobias, chronic pain, distressing memories, broken relationships, anxiety, fear, anger, loss, guilt, embarrassment/shame, abandonment, grief, cravings, PTSD, panic attacks, emotional eating and many other problems.

Havening Touch involves a simple touch of the hands, upper arms and face. There are certain circumstances where the practitioner or the client may not wish to touch or be touched. This is not a problem as the client can self-apply Havening Touch.
